Solidarity Teach-in on the DRC

Learn more about the crisis unfolding in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and avenues for international solidarity.

This fundraiser event will feature a 30 minute documentary followed by discussion with Kito Mbiango, a co-founder of Friends of the Congo. Organizers suggest a donation of $10-20 and ask that attendees bring gently used shoes for their shoe drive.

The Friends of the Congo (FOTC) is an advocacy organization based in Washington, DC. The FOTC was established in 2004 to work in partnership with Congolese to bring about peaceful and lasting change in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), formerly Zaire. Learn more at friendsofthecongo.org
