Artist's Way Reading Group
Every Sunday in October 2023
At this meetup participants will discuss the weekly practices outlined in international bestseller The Artist's Way as they undertake a journey to overcome the limiting beliefs and fears that inhibit the creative process. This event is organized by community member Rachel Goldstein with the intent of creating a supportive time and place for artists to discuss their experiences of being artists, while getting in touch with their creativity.
First published twenty-five years ago, The Artist's Way is the seminal book on the subject of creativity. Perhaps even more vital in today's cultural climate than when it was first published, The Artist's Way is a powerfully provocative and inspiring work. In it, Julia Cameron takes readers on an amazing twelve-week journey to discover the inextricable link between their spiritual and creative selves.
Rachel Goldstein is a photographer and artist who recently moved to the Asheville area in search of a place with more artsy neighbors. She has taught photography and art appreciation for ten years at Charlotte area community colleges, and is now a life coach working with women artists who struggle to put their dreams in motion.
