Blue Ridge Autonomous Defense has formulated basic arms classes based around decentering the toxic masculinity typically inherent in most weapons training environments. The presenters feel that with fascist and state violence escalating constantly, it is necessary for marginalized folks to at least have a cursory knowledge of firearms, even if just to ascertain if they are safe to pick up.

During the weekend of June 22-24, Asheville Firestorm will host the second annual Another Carolina Anarchist Bookfair. Hundreds of people from the southeast and beyond will be participating in workshops, talks, panels, community building, skill sharing, and celebrating resistance. Dozens of presses, publishers, radical and anarchist groups will display their books, zines, and artwork, while promoting their projects. The organizers hope that this second year will continue to build sites of resistance, structures of counterpower, and networks of solidarity across the region and the world.
