A book club for anyone who identifies as femme, gender nonbinary, or LGBTQ! Express your thoughts and feelings with support of others seeking sexual liberation. Gain understanding of yourself within a cultural and political context. Participants will be reading Mating in Captivity by Esther Perel. It explores the dynamic between desire and security in monogamous relationships through a feminist lense. Esther Perel is a sex psychologist and couples counselor based in NYC who writes from a psychological and anecdotal perspective.

If you haven’t finished the book or haven’t read it at all, you can still join in! This is an outlet to discuss, question, and relate your experience as a sexual being in a society that throws all sorts of double standards, strange boundaries, and patriarchal perspectives on our uniquely wonderful sexual selves.
