A performance which combines music accompanied by acoustic guitar and poetry. The Appalachian ragman is a wonderer who collects rags from the garment of the creator and shares them in mysterious ways with people he meets along the path. It's a close and personal performance which often becomes inter-(and inner)-active.

Joseph Ray “Joe” Williams lives in the Great Smoky Mountains of Eastern Tanassi. He is known as RAGMAN and is a singer, songwriter, medicine man, and poet – a Bard.

Joe supports himself by working as a carpenter and performs his songs with an Indie band, The New Mountain Grass. RAGMAN shares a personal relationship with the Creator and shares this relationship with others through his poetry and music, as well as, through his teachings. He is a stand-up poet and a facilitator of spiritual journeys and workshops.
