ReVisioning History Book Group

Every third Wednesday from October 2015 until May 2016

This discussion group focuses on books that challenge or expand on dominant historical narratives and research methodologies.  Together, we investigate -- and question -- the common idea that history is merely the objective presentation of facts, and explore the ways in which ideology plays a role in how history is interpreted, transmitted, and culturally/academically institutionalized.

Note: The selected book will be available at Firestorm with a 15% discount during the month prior to each meeting. Join our book buyers club and save 25%!

Book Group Schedule

October - "Dixie Be Damned" by Neal Shirley and Saralee Stafford
November - "An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States" by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz
