Two Essays on Harm Reduction
By Hill Brown
Remembering is one of our most important responsibilities and seems to have fallen out of fashion. I want us to remember that people fought against the dominant order that dehumanizes and destroys. I want us to remember that sometimes we won. More than anything I want us to remember the folks who taught us how to fight. As much as these two essays are about the value of Harm Reduction they are about the necessity of memory.
These essays are dedicated to people who use drugs, in particular the people mentioned in the first essay and Conner Adams who started Steady Collective to be a place where people can talk and be heard.
