HANIFE PACOLLI and her family were among the hundreds of thousands of Kosovar Albanians driven from their homes during the campaign of terror in 1998 and 1999. In her memoir, Hanife recounts the family's journey through the war-torn country as they struggled to reach the refugee camps in Macedonia-where her youngest child was born-and, ultimately, the United States.
