Sunday, May 1st, is a fusion of two of our favorite holidays: Beltane and International Workers' Day. Celebrate with us on Saturday night (4/30) at the May Day Jamboree!
Starting at 7pm, please join us for a night of songs and stories of land and labor. Local storytellers Vixi Jil Glenn and Sherry Lovett will kick off the night, followed by the May Day chorus and local musicians Ash Devine, Sara Lynch-Thomason, Michael Luchtan and Damien Keyes. These powerful songs and stories will take the audience on a tour of labor history from old Europe, through Britain, Ireland, New England and finally Southern Appalachia. All benefits go to the effort to save Blair Mountain, WV from destruction!
Also, don't miss Sunday's Marcha de Madres (Pritchard Park, 2:30pm) and the Southeast Gathering of Nonviolent Direct Action Trainers.
