Reconnecting Amid Climate Chaos
Author Leah Rampy shares her award-winning book, Earth & Soul, and discusses its call to renew a deep and personal relationship with Earth in response to accelerating climate devastation and an uncertain future. Additionally, she'll offer highlights from her most recent book, Discovering the Spiritual Wisdom of Trees, co-authored with Beth Norcross.
In Earth & Soul: Reconnecting Amid Climate Chaos, Rampy faces directly into the devastation of climate chaos and biodiversity loss to lead her readers on a soul journey into grief, and to claim the beauty, joy and possibilities available when we reconnect with Earth. As we follow the author's compelling personal experiences and engagingly lyrical stories of whales, cedars, sparrows, and more, we see the necessity and urgency of learning from the wisdom of our kin in the natural world. These themes are further explored in Discovering the Spiritual Wisdom of Trees from which the author will share a few of the lessons trees offer on collaboration, resilience, and healing.
Leah Rampy's commitment to reweaving soul and Earth has been informed by leading many Earth-centered retreats as well as extensive study, writing, and speaking on the importance of reclaiming our kinship with the living world. She is a co-founder and speaker on behalf of Save Our Soil, a volunteer collaboration that promotes soil and water health, native plants and trees, and local food. Leah lives with her husband in a cohousing community in Shepherdstown, WV. She is active in the Global Ecovillage Network's project on resilience.
