"Blood Orange" Book Tour

Join us for an afternoon workshop and poetry reading with Palestinian poet Yaffa, who is touring with her latest collection Blood Orange. Funds raised at this event, including proceeds from Blood Orange plus 10% of all other purchases, will help evacuation families from Rafah into Egypt.

Suggested Donation: $10 to $20, no one turned away for lack of funds

Blood Orange is a highly emotional, important and timely poetry collection by Yaffa, a trans Muslim displaced Indigenous Palestinian. Their writings probe the yearning for home, belonging, mental health, queerness, transness, and other dimensions of marginalization while nurturing dreams of utopia against the background of ongoing displacement and genocide of indigenous Palestinians.

Mx. Yaffa (they/she) is an acclaimed disabled, autistic, trans, queer, Muslim, and indigenous Palestinian individual who has received multiple awards for their transformative work around displacement, decolonization, equity, and centering the lived experiences of individuals most impacted by injustice.
