"You Shouldn't Be Here" Book Tour

A conversation and audience Q&A between author Lauren Thoman and New York Times bestselling author Beth Revis discussing Lauren's new release, the speculative mystery You Shouldn't Be Here, followed by a book signing, as part of a promotional tour.

Like all of Lauren's work, You Shouldn't Be Here features a diverse cast of characters, and explores themes of social justice through exciting and cinematic storytelling. You Shouldn't Be Here tackles income inequality, violence against women, and the abuse of power within an eastern Pennsylvania town as its dual protagonists search for answers, putting them in the crosshairs of a rich and influential villain who may feel familiar to anyone who has ever paid attention to what happens when a powerful narcissist is challenged.

Lauren Thoman writes speculative fiction for teens and adults. Her debut novel, the timeslip mystery I'll Stop the World, was selected for publication in 2023 by Mindy's Book Studio, a boutique story studio designed to publish emerging and established diverse voices and imagine books from page-to-screen. Lauren also works as a freelance pop culture writer with bylines in online outlets including Parade, Vulture, and The Wrap. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Lauren now lives outside of Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, two children, and their two dogs.

Beth Revis is a New York Times bestselling author with books available in more than twenty languages. She writes science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary novels, including Across the Universe, Star Wars: Rebel Rising, and many more. A native of North Carolina, Beth lives in a rural corner of the state with her son and husband. This year, she will be releasing a high-octane and sexy science fiction heist novella called Full Speed to a Crash Landing, as well as The Fate of Magic, the sequel to the run-away young adult romantasy bestseller Night of the Witch. Her picture book debut, Someone Who Loves You is a retelling of Han and Leia's wedding told with the aid of Ewoks and will be out in December.
