My Child is Trans, Now What?
In My Child Is Trans, Now What?, author Ben Greene offers a compassionate guide to creating a joyful life for transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive youth. This event will include a reading on how to build a world where trans joy is possible and how to let trans children lead the way in moving towards their futures.
Ben Greene will lean heavily on storytelling—"As a transgender man who came out at a young age, I've found myself very disappointed at the number of books on supporting trans youth that centered on parental grief and set out instead to write a joyful guide from an undeniably trans perspective." Ben will discuss the waves of hate and misinformation targeting the trans community, and share strategies for making a difference in our local community. You do not need to have a transgender child or have a certain level of knowledge to attend, and this event is open to both allies and members of the trans and queer community.
Childcare is available for this event. Please specify the names and ages of kids during registration.
