Ethical Harvesting for Medicinal Plants
Join us for a virtual conversation between CoreyPine Shane and Dr. Deena Class, as they share their knowledge and experience with herbalism and common medicinal plants. The discussion will also focus on how to harvest in an ethical and sustainable way, centering respect for and relationship to nature, while acknowledging that settler colonialism has inherently shaped the current state of herbalism.
Shane's recently released Southeast Medicinal Plants covers how to identify and ethically use wild plants of the Southeast, and how to prepare them in various forms including teas, tinctures, and salves.
CoreyPine Shane RH (AHG), founder and Director of the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine near Asheville, NC, has spent over 25 years helping clients and teaching people by artfully blending Chinese and Western herbal traditions with a focus on local plants.
