Better To Think Vegetables: A Multiple Memoir is Susan Jacoby's first book, and she will read a few passages to give a taste of the complex saga. It is a story of unconditional love between two women, one of whom is a multiple personality. It is also a spiritual book that takes place in various locations over a period of twenty years.

According to the author: I will talk about those locations and how it kept us safe from Miriam's obsessed father, leader of a satanic ritual cult, who was after her. Although there are horrific inferences, I did not dwell much on that, except for the needful to get perspective, I have kept the focus more on Miriam, myself and our journey. It is a story about progressive healing, joy and the search for the Divine. I will most likely read passages from our time in New York, the desert, India, Appalachia and maybe a bit of Brooklyn.
