This workshop will discuss what a process of queering reproductive justice would look like and include a solid introduction to the reproductive justice framework and why it must be queered, coming from an understanding of the types of opression that queer and trans folks face. The workshop will also touch on intersectionality, reproductive justice within the human rights framework and a critique of this framework, current reproductive justice issues in the context of health movements as well as a history of women of color led organizing within reproductive justice, and how to work well with mainstream organizations as queers.
