Discussion will center around the anti-work movement, some of its prominent writings and moments as well as contemporary anti-work struggles. The discussion will also include AbolishWork.com and the lead up to this book. Finally, the book itself and its contents will be discussed in some detail with a Q&A at the end.
Abolish Work: A Philosophical Exposition of Ergophobia is a collection of writings that challenges contemporary conceptions and norms surrounding the modern workplace and "work" itself.
Doreen Ford is an individualist anarchist who lives in NH and has been writing at her site, Abolish Work, since January 2014. She is a Senior Fellow at the Center for a Stateless Society and has been published on CounterPunch, Anti-War.com and various newspapers all over the United States. When she's not writing she enjoys making terrible puns, playing bass guitar and video games.
