In celebration of the 31st Anniversary of the UN's Internation Day of Peace, community members are focusing on three primary faces of peace: inner-peace, peace between humans, and peace with nature.

At 11:30am individuals will gather online or at one of four physical locations: Asheville Art Museum, Black Mountain College Museum, Firestorm Cafe and Warren Wilson College. Each location will focus on a different aspect of peace through presentation, workshop or performance.

At Firestorm Cafe & Books participants will focus on inner peace, through the creation of art. Art supplies and activities for kids and adults will be provided. Local artist Valerie Sanchez will discuss the role of creation in her practice of inner peace and the role of public art in bringing people together.
