Makerspace Organizational Meeting

A makerspace is a "community-operated workspace where people with common interests, often in computers, technology, science, digital art or electronic art, can meet, socialize and/or collaborate". There is also a heavy emphasis on education (both for adults and youth), and once established we will be holding numerous educational programs.

From the organizers: "We are having an organizational meeting for the Asheville Makerspace project that we are trying to start. In particular, we will be discussing our vision, statement of intent, and short term and long term goals - along with proposed budget and funding sources / sponsors. The purpose of the meeting is specifically for the core organizers to get together and finalize many of these decisions, but it is also open to anyone from the public to sit in on and have a voice."
